Psalm 23
Every night before we read a chapter of the Bible with Logan we read Psalm 23 in hopes that he'll memorize it. Last night I told him, "say 'the.'" What he recited was: Duh. Lour-ed. is. myyy. shep-urd. I. shayll. not. wot! He did the whole thing!

Short update
(Russell singing to Logan)
(Logan showing me his muscles while grunting)
So Russell is quite the happy baby as long as I don't cheat and eat yummy dairy products. He sleeps great and talks all day long to his toys and family. Logan has his nite-nite (blanket). Russell has a stuffed Webkinz duck, who is yet to be named. It's funny how they pick their own attachments.

Hi
So this is how Logan sucks his finger/thumb. Yep. Both.
This is how it looks like Russell will be sucking his fingers. Both lefties. That would be funny since neither of us are lefties. My dad and sister are both lefties, and it seems between our two families there are more lefties than normal people.... Oops, I mean right-handed people. :)
Logan had been in big-boy undies for about two full weeks now with only a few accidents here and there. What a blessing! He still needs help getting on and off the potty since he is still little.
Russell has slept 10.5 - 12 hrs every night since Friday night. Also wonderful. I'm starting to feel like life is normal again. :) And I seemed to have unintentionally gotten him to sleep by laying him down in his bed and walking away. I wanted to get him to do that, but didn't have the heart. He just kind of did it on his own and I wish I did it with Logan.
When Logan goes to bed he is so funny. He tries to stall. He'll come up with anything to keep you in there. "Potty!" "Kiss!" "Pray!" "Hug!" Of course they are all things he knows you can't ignore. Smarty pants.
So it's lunch time, and between Logan being gluten-free and myself trying dairy-free, there aren't many choices. It looks like a lot of brown rice spaghetti in our near future! It's a good thing we like it. I've been gluten-free for almost a month now, because Russell has had a stuffy nose since he was born, and it's got to be for a reason. Well, his nose is still stuffy and I didn't want to have to do this, but I'm trying dairy-free now to see if it helps. Andrew talked me into having a sub since gluten doesn't seem to be the problem with Russell, but I woke up the next day with a terrible headache and stuffy nose. So, I'm trying to stay off gluten a bit longer for myself now. So somehow I said all that to say toodles. :) Off to eat my spaghetti.i

Such a big boy
Yesterday was so nice outside. Logan had a blast playing on the deck. Usually we go and play on his swingset, but that sounded like too much work for me today. He was having fun just looking at the fish until he saw a bug. Then he had to sit on a chair and just watch it walk by.
Yesterday was also the first day Logan wore big boy undies ALL DAY with NO accidents! Today is good so far. We've been working at this full time since Thursday. He gets treats and stickers on the calendar with each successful trip.
Here is his collection of big boy undies. Actually it's only about half his collection. The others are in the laundry. He gets excited about them. Even when he helps me put away the laundry and finds them in there he wants to put them on. over his pants. on his head. on his arms. wherever. He just gets excited about them. That's how we got started doing this anyways. He insisted on wearing them one day. Works for me.

how?
(Logan so kindly sharing his drink with Russell)
how can it be that I can go 24 1/2 years without accidently bleaching an article of clothing, and TWICE in one month I bleach dark colored shirts? Guess I have new only-for-the-house clothes.
Andrew and I decided to start the GM diet today. Andrew already gave up :) I'm doing fine, but the worst hasn't come yet... dinnertime, smelling other yummy foods. Luckily for me there haven't been many pins today I've seen yet with food in it. At breakfast Logan ate all my grapes. Little vulture. So, we'll see!
