Official Update! And cute boy pictures

Andrew called me with news today about closing! We close for sure on Friday at 3PM. So early saturday morning Logan and I will be heading out to our new house to start cleaning! I was hoping to have help, but I know I won't feel like driving somebody all the way back at night or even in the morning. So, we're going o to see how we do by ourselves. Hopefully I can set up a TV with cartoons on DVD or something, along with a playpen full of toys. I know it's bad, but I have an entire house to deep clean before people bring stuff in. When I packed up our old house, I numbered each box and wrote down EVERYTHING that went into each box so it won't be chaos when we move in. It's a wonderful idea, and I did the same thing last time we moved. The problem is, I lost that notebook! In the next week, I'll be tearing my parent's house apart looking for it. It's my lifeline to sanity! So after we move I have LOTS to keep me busy, that's for sure! Not only do I have this busy little boy to chase, I have a house to put together before the baby is born. Once everything is together I'll change my mind, but I'm hoping I go late again with this one. We definately have at least 3 rooms to paint. In order of importance: Our bedroom, it's pink... pepto-bismal pink; the living room, it's baby-ish blue... i don't care for it; the kitchen, it's white, and I'm not sure which color to paint yet, thats why it's later in my list of rooms to paint. My "sort-of" New Year's Resolution is to eat grain-free for the month of January or until the baby comes. Whichever is first. I will occasionally allow myself some rice. But, we'll see how this goes. Also, I'd like to be refined suagar-free. Doing this is supposed to give you more energy, and I'll definately be needing more of that. I'm just allowing myself a cheat day on the day we move and possibly the day after. And now Logan and I are watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. That's his favorite. It's on the DVR, and we've probably seen it 50x this month. He loves the deer on it, of course. Maybe they still have it in the stores. If they do, I'll probably buy it for when we move, because I know he'll be plenty occupied by it. He even recognized the song when it was playing in the mall! Our Christmas was nice this year. It felt more like Christmas this year than last year did. Maybe it's because Logan was big enough to enjoy it. We got him mostly books, and they were mostly pre-used from thrift stores and library sales. We also got him blocks and a deer and moose hunting toy thingy. It came with a deer stand and 4-wheeler. Andrew will have more fun showing him how to set it up. We got him Mickey Mouse jammies in his next size and he wanted them on right away. He's so funny. He LOVES Mickey Mouse. Then he opened his Mickey big boy undies I got him. So he needed those on, too, of course. First he tried them on his head because they make good hats, you know. Then he thought maybe over your arms, but Daddy told him they go over your feet. So, he tried that, over his jammies. :) So we put them on the right way, but over his diaper to be safe. Grandma and Papa Young got him a "smart" phone. Aunt Beka bought him 2 stuffed sheep and a dressy shirt and vest. He also got more animals, cars, trucks, and other books and goodies. So, Andrew got me this big thing wrapped in cardboard, and after first peek I told him it better not be a hunting stand. (All I saw was black metal and chains.) Then I seriously asked him if it was a bear trap! But I ended up loving it. My bear trap really is a pot rack for my new kitchen! I didn't figure it out. He had to tell me :)

Finally a Picture!

We went to see Mrs. Senecal to get some pictures of Logan, since we hadn't had any done since Logan was 8 months. Also, it allows me to show off a picture here and there! So, we STILL have not gotten an official closing date from the bank. I was planning on moving tomorrow. I even had help lined up to spend the night. Oh well. As frusterating as it is, it's supposed to snow 3-6 inches from here to Buffalo and I would have to drive that whole way. I'd rather not. Thank you Mrs. Senecal for the pictures!

Little Stuff

So we are still here 11 days after we were supposed to close. We had bank issues, but tried through another mortgage company and yesterday we got our mortgage commitment! So, Andrew just needs to fax our latest bank statement tomorrow and we will get a closing date! It's December 29th right now but they will give us a more official one. Of course I will take and post pictures when we move (before and after). I just can't promise that I'll do it right away. I am so ready to move, I don't even mind that we might have to tear down our Christmas tree and presents and put it all back up again. :) There's not really anything interesting going on here. Just waiting. I had to take Logan to my doctor's appointment yesterday. That was interesting. They took my blood pressure and said it was high. But then they realized I was just trying to keep a busy boy out of trouble while trying to use the bathroom, so they took it again before I left, and it was fine. They also said my sugar was high. So, I had to take Logan with me to get a blood sample. (fun) Some good news from that appointment is that I haven't gained as much weight as I thought I did! After we moved into my parents I have been eating lots of food I shouldn't, so I was scared to look at the scale. My goal for the whole pregnancy was no more than 30 lbs, but at my appointment last month I was at 27 lbs. I had given up hope lol. I thought for sure I had gained way more than 30 by now, but according to their scale, (and after a big unhealthy breakfast, I might add) I'm only at 31 lbs! Ha! There's still hope. I'm 32 1/2 weeks, so I just need to be good. I made brownies with no flour or sugar and that's my treat because it's chocolaty and not unhealthy. Oh, and something even better is that Andrew doesn't like them so he won't eat them all! They're gluten-free, though, so I share with Logan for a treat. Logan and I think they're really yummy. So Logan's had a huge fish tank in his room since he came home from the hospital and we sold it about a week before we moved out of our house. So, he did not sleep through the night at all after it left. Just a few days before he started getting a cold, which didn't help with the sleeping through the night. When we moved into my parents' house we shared a room with Logan and somebody, who shall remain nameless (but it's not me), snores really loud, and he still couldn't sleep. After my parents left for Florida, Logan inherited Abbey's room and a humidifier. He sleeps through now about two out of three nights, so I'm thinking Logan might get a new fish tank for Christmas :) So, I felt like I needed to type up a new post, but that's as exciting as it gets today.
